This flag is not related with the German Communist Party (DKP), but with the Communist League of West Germany, or KBW (Komm. Bundes Westdeutschland).
Jaume Ollé, 5 March 2000
These flags are not affiliated with either the German Communist Party (DKP), nor to the Communist Party of Germany (KPD) which was banned 1956. They probably are flags used by the Maoist KPD/ML (Kommunistische Partei Deutschlands/Marxisten-Leninisten, Communist Party of Germany/Marxists-Leninists), founded 1970 and vanishing in the 1980s. They were fierce enemies of the DKP!
Marcus Schmöger, 5 June 2002
The enforcer arm of the Communist Party of Germany/Marxists-Leninists, a typical period German political militia organization, used to protect KPD/ML meetings and demonstrations, and to intimidate and disrupted those of their political opponents.
